As we do every year, we will be combining the results from the East meet (in Indianapolis) and the West meet (in Austin) to bring you the Combined Top 8: in every event.

Day 4, the final day of the two meets, featured the fastest flight of 1650 freestyle, followed by the A/B/C finals of the 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, and 200 fly. We concluded with timed finals of the 400 freestyle relays.

The top 4 times all came from Austin, with Sydney Schoeck (https://swimswam.com/tag/sydney-schoeck/) of CSP Tideriders getting the win over La Mirada Armada’s Kayla Han (https://swimswam.com/tag/kayla-han/) by 7.7 seconds with 15:52.26. They were the only two to break the 16-minute barrier. 3rd-place finisher Paige Downey (https://swimswam.com/tag/paige-downey/) from Gold Medal Swim Club went 16:06.14, beating Corvallis Aquatic Team’s Zayda Miehl by 2.6 seconds.

Gabriel Manteufel (https://swimswam.com/tag/gabriel-manteufel/) from Sandpipers of Nevada crushed the field from both meets, winning the mile in 14:20.21. Ellis Crisci (https://swimswam.com/tag/ellis-crisci/) and Whitaker Steward, both from The Swim Team, trailed Manteufel by a pool length and finished 2nd and 3rd with 14:53.10 and 14:54.46. The East produced only 2 of the top 8 times, including that of Colin Jacobs (https://swimswam.com/tag/colin-jacobs/) (14:47.47), who won the event in Indianapolis by 17 seconds.

Bolles School’s Liam Carrington (https://swimswam.com/tag/liam-carrington/) edged Mecklenburg’s Mike Rice (https://swimswam.com/tag/mike-rice/) , 42.32 to 42.48, in the East.
