During the opening day of the 2026 Bahrain Formula 1 testing, Audi's session came to an abrupt pause, marking the second red flag incident of the day. Nico Hulkenberg, behind the wheel, encountered an issue 90 minutes into his run.

Pierre Gasly, the sole companion on the track when the red flag was waved, joined the session late but managed to complete 10 uninterrupted laps beforehand. Lando Norris and Kimi Antonelli were the only drivers yet to set times, with Norris completing 11 in-and-out laps and Antonelli managing just one lap in the Mercedes before the red flag.
