Google's Pixelsnap Chargers to Receive Firmware Updates
Google's Pixelsnap Chargers, similar to other modern devices, will receive firmware updates. The latest version of the Pixel Stand app reveals some details about these updates. In this 'APK Insight' post, we've decompiled the latest application version uploaded to the Play Store by Google. By decompiling these files (APK files for Android apps), we can uncover various lines of code that hint at potential future features. It's important to note that Google may or may not release these features, and our interpretation of the code may be inaccurate. We'll try to enable those features that are closer to completion to demonstrate their potential appearance if they are released.
On the Pixel 10 series, the Pixel Stand app acts more as a background service. Version 2.2.0.834194002 is currently being rolled out, with strings related to 'Pixelsnap firmware'. These strings include:

After the update, this information is not displayed in real-time. It will presumably appear in Settings > Connected devices > Pixelsnap Charger. Currently, the options are 'Forget this device' and 'Do Not Disturb while docked', as before.

Apple also has the capability to update its MagSafe Chargers in the background, and while users have no control over it, Apple does display the firmware version. It's unclear if Google has been releasing Pixelsnap firmware updates since the August launch and is now making the check feature available, or if this upcoming update will be the first.
