Bold opening: Sunny Deol credits family, faith, and hard work for a thrilling comeback in Bollywood.
Over the last three years, the veteran actor has enjoyed a remarkable run. Gadar 2 shattered box office records, Jaat followed with solid numbers, and Border 2 is now delivering strong collections. At the Border 2 success press conference on Thursday, Sunny expressed deep gratitude to his fans for their unwavering love and ongoing support.
When a reporter called him Sunny Deol 2.0 for his rejuvenated presence on screen, he joked, “I don’t know where I was hiding all these years.” He added that the praise feels incredibly sweet and offered a hopeful message: work hard, love your craft, don’t let disappointment derail you, and remember that time can be unpredictable—be ready for its twists and turns.
Sunny attributed his resurgence to two sources of inspiration: his late father, Dharmendra, and God’s grace. “Yeh sab mere papa ki blessings and Waheguru di meher hai,” he said, noting that the public’s affection has remained strong—before, and still today—wherever he goes.
Border 2 also stars Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, and Diljit Dosanjh in leading roles, contributing to the movie’s widespread attention and anticipation.
